Cheryl is a “Midwest gal”, born and raised in the bread basket of our great country. She moved to the east coast in 1981, Manhattan to be exact, and then migrated north to New England in 1994. We share this so you will understand her “funny” accent. (She’s a little sensitive but will understand if you ask her to repeat herself.)
Cheryl earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1974 and a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh in 2007.
Cheryl spent over 26 years working for Verizon and retired in 2005 to pursue her new career as a full time Interior Designer. She joined Morrison Remodeling in 2005. She immediately became an integral part of the team, wearing a variety of hats: secretary, accountant, HR manager, computer maintenance engineer, payroll master, and most importantly Interior Designer.
Cheryl’s interior design knowledge and education places Morrison Remodeling in a unique position within the industry enabling the company to provide design solutions that fit peoples’ needs, not just the space. Cheryl is well versed in local and national building codes, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Guidelines, human factors that contribute to space planning, as well as sustainable (green) design guidelines. She has a particular interest in helping those who are entering their retirement years modify their homes to enable them to continue to live in the environment that they love. This knowledge, in addition to her desire to help make people’s lives easier and more enjoyable, certainly ensures our customers’ satisfaction.
Cheryl is involved in several business related organizations. She is a member of BNI, Business Networking International. She has been a member for three years. She served as president in 2009 and is the current Vice President of the BNI Danvers chapter. She is an Allied Member of the New England chapter of ASID, American Society of Interior Designers. She has been a member of ASID for six years. She is currently serving as the Membership Director on the Board of Directors for the ASID New England Chapter. She is also a member of the NKBA, National Kitchen and Bath Association and is working to acquire her Certified Kitchen Designer designation.
Cheryl is committed to providing well-designed, usable and beautiful living spaces that meet her client’s desires.
